Question 1

Is Nodus free for couples?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Nodus is free for couples planning their wedding, and you pay only each vendor's own quoted price. We make our money from commission on the payments vendors receive through Nodus, paid by vendors, not couples. There are no subscription fees, listing charges or hidden costs for couples.

Question 2

How do I find South Asian wedding vendors on Nodus?

Accepted Answer

Browse vendors by category (catering, photography, venues and more) and region. Filtering by your date is coming. Vendors who pass our checks carry a Nodus Verified badge. Reviews, when they arrive, can only be left by couples who completed a booking through Nodus. AI-powered matching by cultural tradition and budget is on our product roadmap and will be available for early adopters.

Question 3

What happens if a vendor cancels after I've paid a deposit?

Accepted Answer

Every booking through Nodus is confirmed in writing, so if a vendor cancels, you have documentation to rely on, and Nodus steps in to help you find a replacement. Raise a dispute through your Nodus dashboard. Keep your messages and confirmations on the platform: your written booking record is your main reference.

Question 4

Can I use Nodus to plan multiple events, like a mehndi, nikkah and walima?

Accepted Answer

Question 5

How do I know if a vendor is verified?

Accepted Answer

Vendors who pass our checks carry a Nodus Verified badge. The checks are ID, business details and insurance, plus a food hygiene rating for caterers. Reviews, when they arrive, come only from completed bookings.

Question 6

When does Nodus launch?

Accepted Answer

Nodus is live now. You can explore vendors at app.thenodus.uk/vendors with no account needed. Sign up when you're ready to save vendors or send an enquiry.

Question 7

Question 9

How much does it cost to list on Nodus as a vendor?

Accepted Answer

Listing on Nodus is free. We work on commission only: we take a percentage of each payment you receive through Nodus, the deposit and then the balance, so there's nothing to pay until a couple pays you. There are no monthly fees, listing charges or subscriptions. Founding vendors pay 3% for their first 24 months, then the standard 8%.

Question 10

What is a founding vendor?

Accepted Answer

Founding vendors are the first verified vendors to join Nodus. Founding places are limited.

Question 11

Question 14

How long does the vendor application process take?

Question 19

When does a vendor receive payment?

Accepted Answer

Payment timing follows the schedule the couple and vendor agree at booking. Each payment goes directly to the vendor’s Stripe account when it is taken; Nodus never holds funds. Every payment is completed before the service is delivered, and both sides can see the payment schedule in their dashboard.
