South Asian weddings in the UK are among the most complex consumer events in the country. Twelve vendors, forty payments, months of coordination, and until now, no infrastructure to support any of it. Nodus is the connective tissue this community has been missing.
The friends and family around me were crying out for something better. Every time someone in my community started planning a wedding, the same chaos unfolded — the same WhatsApp threads, the same late payments, the same moments where something fell apart and there was nothing to turn to. I wasn’t looking for a startup idea. I was watching people I love go through something that didn’t need to be this hard. So I built the thing that should have existed already.
The problem with South Asian wedding planning isn't organisation. Couples are incredibly organised. The problem is infrastructure. The tools that exist were built for a completely different kind of wedding. We decided to build for the wedding that actually happens.
