Nodus for wedding decorators
You build a stage, take it down and load the van for the next venue, often on the same weekend. Nodus is being built to keep those weekends full and paid for.
Sell stages, mandaps and table decor as packages for each event, get enquiries that arrive with the venue and date, and take a deposit before you buy stock, then the balance, straight into your own Stripe account. You pay nothing upfront: commission comes out of each payment you receive through Nodus. Packages and the calendar are coming.

How decor bookings work for South Asian weddings
- A different look for each event. Bright colours for a mehndi, a mandap for pheras, a stage for the nikkah or the couple's seats at the reception, softer tones for a walima. Each is its own setup.
- The venue sets the rules. Access times, what can be fixed to walls, candles and open flames, take-down deadlines. Knowing the venues you work in is part of what families buy.
- Stock, crew and a van. Your costs come before the day: hire stock, fresh flowers, transport and people. Deposits need to reflect that.
- Weekends stack up. Saturday is the busiest day to marry in England and Wales (41.9% of marriages in 2023, ONS). If you cover two venues in one day, the timings have to work, and an empty Thursday earns you nothing.
- "Can you do this?" Families send a photo from Instagram and ask for a price. Clear packages with a "from" price get you to a real quote faster.

- Photos of finished setups, with the venue named where you have permission.
- The venues you already work in, and any you've been approved by.
- A "from" price for each setup: mehndi, wedding stage or mandap, reception tables.
- What's included: delivery, set-up, crew, take-down and fresh or artificial flowers.
- Your set-up and take-down times, so families can check them against the venue.
- Your deposit, and what you keep if the date is cancelled after you've bought stock.
Families find it easier to picture the day when the venues you work with are on Nodus too. Send them our page for venues on Nodus.

Questions
Show finished stages and mandaps with the venue named, publish 'from' prices for each type of setup, list the venues you already work in and keep your calendar current. Families shortlist decorators who clearly fit their venue and budget.
Packages are coming to the app, with inclusions, exclusions, the events each one suits and a fixed, 'from' or on-request price. Piece-by-piece services, like extra centrepieces or an entrance arch, sit alongside them.
Nothing upfront. No subscription, no listing fee and no pay-per-lead. Commission is taken from each payment you receive through Nodus: 3% for founding vendors for their first 24 months, then 8%.
Yes. There's no exclusivity on Nodus. A family might use you for the wedding stage and someone else for the mehndi, and you keep all your other channels too.
A deposit to confirm, then the balance before the event, each paid directly to you through Stripe. You set your own terms, so make the deposit cover the stock and materials you commit to early, and put those terms in writing.
