Payments that go straight to your vendor
Pay securely through Stripe. Your payment goes directly to your vendor. No bank transfers to strangers.
On Nodus you pay a deposit to confirm, then the balance before your event, each paid directly to your vendor through Stripe. Nodus never holds your money, and the price you see is the price you pay.
Why this exists
The problem with paying by bank transfer
Most South Asian weddings in the UK still run on bank transfers: a deposit to a sort code someone sent over WhatsApp, a balance in cash on the morning, a receipt that is a screenshot. Then a transfer goes to the wrong account, or a vendor goes quiet, and the family has little to show for what was paid and to whom.

Nodus acts as booking agent for vendors on this platform.
You accept the vendor's quote
The amount you accept is the vendor's quoted price. That is the only number you see.
A deposit to confirm
You pay the deposit by card through Stripe. The charge is made on the vendor's own Stripe account, so the money goes to them, not to Nodus. Each vendor sets their own deposit and when the balance is due, and you see both in their terms before you book.
The balance before your event
When the balance falls due, the payment link appears on your booking in the app. You pay it the same way, directly to your vendor through Stripe.
Every booking confirmed in writing
You get a written confirmation with the vendor's name, the event, the date and the total paid. Every payment is completed before the service is delivered.
Our choice
Why direct payments
We could have built Nodus to collect every payment and pay vendors later. We chose not to. When the charge goes straight to the vendor's own Stripe account, there's no middle step where money waits with a platform, and the vendor is paid when you pay. You get card payments and a written record, and nobody in the middle is holding your money.
Plain terms
What we promise, and what we don't
- Pay securely through Stripe. Your payment goes directly to your vendor.
- Nodus never holds funds. There is no pot of wedding money sitting with us.
- You see one price, the vendor's quoted price. No extra line for Nodus, ever.
- Every booking confirmed in writing.
- No bank transfers to strangers.
We don't sell insurance and we don't underwrite refunds. The vendor's own terms decide what happens if plans change, which is why the confirmation matters and why you should read those terms before paying a deposit. They are shown alongside every quote. If a vendor cancels, Nodus steps in to help you find a replacement. Our deposit and booking checklist covers what to check.
If you run a wedding business
For vendors: paid into your own Stripe account
You connect your own Stripe account once, through Stripe's onboarding. Couples then pay the deposit and balance straight into it, and you can see your earnings in your Stripe dashboard. No chasing transfers and no waiting for a platform to pay you out. What Nodus charges vendors, and when, is set out openly on the pricing page.
The regulatory line
You will see this sentence at the foot of every page on this site and in the app. It is the short version of everything above:
Nodus acts as booking agent for vendors on this platform. Pay securely through Stripe. Your payment goes directly to your vendor.
Payments follow the booking: see how quotes become bookings, read how to protect your wedding budget when paying vendors, and read our guide to wedding deposits and cancellations. Vendors can read how getting paid works for vendors.
