Enquiries and messaging, in one thread per vendor
Every vendor conversation in one place, with your wedding details attached from the first message, so nobody has to ask for your date three times.
Planning a South Asian wedding usually means a dozen vendor chats spread across WhatsApp, Instagram DMs, email and a few phone calls nobody wrote down. Nodus puts each vendor conversation in its own thread, starting from an enquiry that already says when and which ceremony.
Why this exists
The problem with enquiries today
A caterer gets a message that says "how much for a wedding?" and has to reply with five questions. The couple answers two of them, a week later, in a different app. Multiply that by the photographer, the decorator, the mehndi artist and the venue, and the family ends up with the same facts typed out over and over, and no single place to check who said what.
Enquiries and messaging
How it works
One enquiry, with the details that matter
From a vendor's profile you send an enquiry with your date and the ceremony it is for (mehndi, nikkah, anand karaj, baraat, walima, sangeet, reception or another event), plus a note in your own words, such as your guest count and the look you want. The vendor sees all of it before they reply.
One thread per vendor
Every message with that vendor stays in one thread, in real time, in the app. When the quote arrives, it arrives in the same place. When you come back three months later to check what time the dhol is arriving, the answer is in that thread, not buried in a family group chat.
Tips
Writing an enquiry vendors can answer
- Say which ceremony, where and roughly when it starts.
- Give a guest count, even a rough one. Caterers and venues can't quote without it.
- Share a budget range if you have one. It saves both sides a wasted call.
- Mention anything unusual: a second venue, a late finish, a separate ladies' event.

If you run a wedding business
For vendors: fewer back-and-forths
Every enquiry arrives with the date and the event attached, so you can check your calendar and quote without a round of questions first. The reply stays in the app with the rest of that couple's history, which matters when the same family books you for the mehndi now and the walima later.
Coming soon, your enquiries will sit in a simple pipeline, from new enquiry to quote sent to deposit paid to complete, and Nodus will nudge you by email if an enquiry has waited 48 hours.
Couples are talking to several vendors at once, so a quick, clear reply often wins the booking.
