What we check
The five questions
| Question | Points |
|---|---|
| Do you have a clear profile photo or logo? | 15 |
| Does your bio say which ceremonies and areas you cover? | 15 |
| Do you have at least 5 recent photos of your work? | 15 |
| Do you have packages with prices, or starting prices, you can publish? | Up to 30 |
| Do you usually reply to new enquiries within 48 hours? | 15 |
Your answers add up to 90 points. We show them as a score out of 100. The last 10 points in the app come from keeping your availability calendar up to date, which this page can't check.
Three bands
What your score means
- 80 and above: ready to go live. Couples can see who you are, what you do and roughly what you cost.
- 50 to 79: nearly there. One or two fixes, usually prices or photos, will make the biggest difference.
- Below 50: start with the basics. A photo, a clear bio and five good images come first.
Where to start
The fixes worth most
Packages with prices. Families planning several ceremonies want to know early if you fit their budget. Writing down two or three packages, for example mehndi only, nikkah and walima, or full wedding coverage, answers that question before they ask. On Nodus, your profile is becoming your storefront, with packages alongside piece-by-piece services. Our guide to pricing your packages walks through it.
Say which ceremonies you cover. "Asian weddings" is broad. Say mehndi, nikkah, anand karaj, baraat, walima, sangeet or reception, and which towns and cities you travel to.
Reply within 48 hours. A short, clear first reply with a price range and your availability is better than a long one sent late. Our enquiry reply templates can help.
Keep your calendar current. It isn't in this quick check, but in the app your calendar will let couples filter by their date and send you enquiries for days you're free. See setting up your calendar.

Joining Nodus
Nodus is a booking platform for South Asian weddings, starting in the north of England. Applying costs nothing, and there's no subscription. You pay commission only on payments you receive through Nodus, so there's nothing to pay until a couple pays you. Founding vendors pay 3% for their first 24 months, then 8%. The standard rate is 8%. Founding places are limited. We reply to every application within 3 working days.
Questions
A clear photo or logo, a short bio that says which ceremonies and areas you cover, at least five recent photos of your work, published starting prices or packages, and quick replies to enquiries. Couples may be comparing several vendors at once, so the details they need should be easy to find.
Starting prices or packages help couples and their families work out quickly whether you fit their budget. You can still quote each wedding individually. In this check, published packages with prices score the most points.
This check gives full points for replying within 48 hours. Families may enquire with several vendors at once, and a prompt, clear reply helps you stand out.
It uses the same weighting, but it is shorter. The full profile score is coming to the Nodus vendor dashboard. It will also check your availability calendar and update as you edit your profile.
No. There is no cost to apply and no subscription. Vendors pay commission on each payment they receive through Nodus. Founding vendors pay 3% for their first 24 months, then 8%. The standard rate is 8%.
